Is anything impossible for God?

The God Of The ImpossibleThe God of The Impossible

Is anything impossible for God? To answer this question it is important to understand who we are talking about, why we are talking about it, to whom we are talking about it and for which purpose.

First, it is important to understand who we are talking about. In this post we will talk about the God of Abraham and contrast His attributes with the attributes of the various other man-made gods and the gods of the spiritual realm.

The god of perdition

Some isolated Scriptures are often cited by people who believe in a god that was molded in the image of man. The permissive nature of this man-made god allows for an equally fake type of love – permissive love – to be the center and most enticing feature for those following this god. The people promoting this doutrinary malpractice have a goal to convince as many people as possible that sin is ok “because forgiveness is granted by grace” no matter what.

In essence, this god accepts you where you are and as you are. He also leaves you where and how you are. This god permites sin in the name of love because his “grace is sufficient.” So, in their philosophy, even when you are choosing to sin you still have this god’s presence.

This god of perdition is a concoction of satanic attributes and humanistic philosophies. For this god, “nothing is impossible.” Recently, I heard someone say that “even satan himself can be forgiven and brought to heaven” to live with the chosen people.

God of the Impossible

Before going further into what is fake, let’s look at the real God – The God of Abraham – He doesn’t lie, He is true to His Word, He is consistent, He doesn’t learn anything and his love and grace are not enablers of sin. But, where does this “nothing is impossible to God” comes from?

Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

Luke 18:27

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

In context, these often misquoted verses are talking about Salvation and this Salvation is literally YESHUA.

As GOD and man in one person, Yeshua could do anything. He could sin (transgress Father’s law) but He didn’t. He could walk on water and raise the dead, which is impossible for humans to do, and that He did.

“For no word from God will ever fail.”

Luke 1:37

Context is important to avoid the confusions peddled by religious people. The God of Abraham is a unique God. He is eternal and His Word (Yeshua) is eternal. His law is eternal and He gave us grace and salvation to reconnect us to the Father -Not to enable us to do what we want. The God of Abraham’s narrative never violated or changed His previous plan. In fact, His plan has always been one.

“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 9:23

God can do everything, but not everything He does. This isn’t a limitation, but rather the attribute of consistency. His character and holiness never changes, therefore he doesn’t allow sin in His presence. Using human logic He is God, and he can do anything. But, using His own logic (logos) He will not lie, change, increase or decrease in knowledge or allow sin (transgresion of His law) unto His presence.

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”

Numbers 23:19

God Continues

The easiest way to understand the eternal attribute and consistency of the God of Abraham is to understand that God Continues. In the same way He was, He is, and will always be. He is unlike anything and anyone else ever known by any person. Likewise, He is “Holy” and that means He is absolute and His purity is transcendent.

GOD CONTINUES

God cannot deny himself, lie, entice human beings to sin or contradict His own words. Even when we doubt or deny Him, He remains faithful because that’s who He is. As such, everything He does is intentional, and nothing He does is contrary to His perfect being.

Man-made and Spiritual gods

In contrast, the man-made god(s) do change as people change. This god is made in the image of man and yes, he is malleable. As man learns things, this god also learns things. Likewise, the god(s) of the spiritual realm can pardon the devil, satan, the false prophet and the antichrist and bring them all to their version of heaven. In fact, that will happen – not by choice – but they will be together in the lake of fire.

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:10

The god of this world through their enticing agents, deceive, distort or misrepresent the truth.

So, can the God of Abraham save satan and bring him to heaven? Of course not. That would make the destiny of satan as written in revelations, a lie and the God of Abraham does not lie.

Enticing Humans

One of the attributes of satan is that he entices people to explore understandings that are skewed from the ways of the LORD. The point of the spirits of the air is to get you off-track – off from the ways of the Almighty God – and into sin. Questioning the LORD’s holy attribute is a sin often exercised by people who are in love with debating, contention and endless questionings.

“God tests his people so that their character is strengthened, but he never tempts. Since God cannot be tempted with evil, and he is unreservedly good, he would never entice human beings to sin or seek to harm their faith.”

James 1:13

Enticing a human being to sin (transgress the law) or seeking to harm their faith with corrupted ideology or philosophy, is a trademark of those peddling false doctrine and fruitless debates. Stay away from such people. Pray for them. But, do avoid listening to their falsehoods.

Truly converted and transformed people understand that It is not up to you to define the Almighty God. You either accept Him as He presents Himself or you are preaching another god who caters to your own desires – the god of perdition.

“each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire”

James 1:14

Our fallen nature requires us to guard ourselves from the desire to make a god in our image. If Yeshua did, do it. If Yeshua didn’t do it, don’t do it. And do pray for those who are lost.

“. . . if we are faithless, he remains faithful — for he cannot deny himself”

2 Timothy 2:13

Conclusion

The LORD’s mighty works throughout Scriptures show His amazing capabilities to totally control the natural and the supernatural, but we also see in those same Scriptures that what He does, He does for His glorious purposes.

God is not a toy for you to be able to customize him to your liking or understanding. If you have customized him in any way, most likely you are not with the God of Abraham, you are with one of the gods of this world. Repent and turn away from this wickness.

The God of Abraham is completely trustworthy and eternal.

“Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

1 Kings 8:56

All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

Psalm 119:160

When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”

Hebrews 6:13-14

“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.”

Hebrews 6:17-18

The God of Abraham is purely moral. Only transformed followers will evidence His holiness and true love.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:15-16
